  I have recently returned from a week's full immersion course at the Agualivar Spanish School in Lagos. What a wonderful experience! My skills were pretty basic but have improved greatly with the excellent, and patient, tuition provided by teachers, Eli and Fani.

  The course also gave me an insight into everyday life in Spain, as I stayed in their beautiful home and was made to feel like one of the family. It's in a lovely, peaceful location with views of the sea and a fabulous garden, in which they grow all their own fruit and vegetables. The food, all home made, was delicious and they even gave me a cookery lesson - in Spanish, of course!

  I attended this school in April of 2015 and loved it. The family is really great and take good care of you. The dinner conversations were a hoot and it's all in Spanish. I would def recommend this school to people who are looking for a no pressure place to naturally work on and learn their Spanish. The classes are tailored to your individual level and really do help as are the optional excursions. There is no room for English, but it's the best way to do an immersion program.

  I had the pleasure of staying with Eli and Fani for 3 weeks for a crash course in Spanish. It was the BEST decision I could have made. I would recommend this language school and method of learning to anyone wishing to improve their spanish. 11/10! You speak 24/7 AND it’s fun! Gracias x

  The reviews are all spot on: the hospitality of the family, the food, the surroundings, all true. It feels as much like a retreat from the busy world as it does a school. A place to slow down, take a deep breath, and gaze out at the Mediterranean Sea before you. And of course, learn Spanish! I was very impressed with the teaching and professionalism of both Fani and Eli. They were able to target areas that I needed to work on grammatically and in such a small group I was able to ask as many questions as I needed to understand the concept completely. They even took time out of class to help me tackle some problems with my pronunciation, which had been bothering me for years! But it didn't stop there. I spoke Spanish after class, during lunch, excursions, dinner, and everywhere in between. The entire family was exceptionally patient, letting me finish my sentences and thoughts during conversations (that can take some time in a foreign language!). They welcomed me into their family and I felt right at home. I definitely hope to return. There is nothing quite as helpful as immersion when learning a new language, and Agualivar is doing a great job of providing it!

  We only had a week here, but we gained so much from the personal attention to our learning needs. We were welcomed into the family and felt so comfortable. I cannot recommend this course highly enough - the quality of the teaching, the comfort of the house and the lovely healthy food using home grown fruit and vegetables. Every care was taken to make the experience perfect. Thank you so much.
